Shoebill Stork

An original watercolor painting of a Shoebill Stork on a 12X16 sheet of Arches 140lb watercolor paper. The painted image is approximately 6X12. The watercolor sheet was not cut down to size in order to allow for easier framing by its new owner.
 
I've always found Shoebill Storks to be somehow majestic, and comical at the same time. I could not resist painting one wearing wooden clogs to match its massive bill!
